EFA Student Stacie Niemann is nominated for 2010 NAHA in the Student Hairstylist Category.    

EFA Student Alli Baskerville placed 2nd in the Sassoon Cut and Color Competition. 
The top three winners were announced at the ISSE Hair Show in Long Beach, CA.
 

EFA Students Alli Baskerville and Amanda Montgomery were two of the top 10 finalists in the Sassoon Cut and Color Competition.  The competition received 90 entries from Sassoon Connection Schools across the United States and Canada.   

EFA Student and 2009 NAHA nominee Tatum Henson work featured on the cover of Estetica Russia.

Leading the Way...Guest Artists at EFA

Alex Ioannou:  Former Artistic Director of Vidal Sassoon, Ioannou was responsible for the quality of training and education within the salon; designing sets and producting seminars and shows.  He was the team leader for two consecutive award winning videos.  Ioannou is the co-owner of Trio Salons.  He has been exposed to many newspapers, fashion and trade magazines worldwide from Allure, Chicago Tribune, Glamour, American Salon, Modern Salon, Salon Today, Salon News and named one of the Top 35 Stylists in the country by Self magazine.

Andrew Dale:  Founder of UNITE Eurotherapy hair products, Dale began his apprenticeship at age 16 with Vidal Sassoon.  He became a stylist at 18 and was soon doing session work with Vidal at age 20.  Soon after he relocated to the US, working at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon salon on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  His clients consisted of Sting, Faye Dunaway, Carol Burnett, Rue McClanahan, Elvira and Vanessa Redgrave.  In addition, Dale taught on the Sassoon Artistic Team both on platform and at the Academy in Santa Monica, CA.  Click here to watch video.

 
Derrick Zeno:  Owner of Details and Neo Detail Salons in Ohio, Zeno is known to combine passion and creativity with practical business sense.  He travels worldwide as an educator for Goldwell Color.

David Raccuglia:  Founder of American Crew, hairstylist and photographer, Raccuglia started a revolution in men's grooming when he created his own product line.  He is a self taught photographer and his subjects have included Miley Cyrus, Jack Nicholson, Heather Graham, Adrien Brody, Yoko Ono, Ray Charles, Benicio Del Toro, Liz Phair, James Brown, Macy Gray, White Stripes, Beastie Boys, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Milla Jovovich, Val Kilmer, Jena Malone, the Dalai Lama and many others.  His photography work has inspired several books, including the photographic journal "Portrait of a Culture in Exile" and a book which documented the New Yorker's Against Violence fundraiser and concert.  Click here to view his portfolio.

Jeri Delgado:  Former Artistic Director for Vidal Sassoon and member of the Vidal Sassoon International Team, Delgado has trained in Paris, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Chicago.  Her illustrious clients include The Dutchess of York (Sarah Ferguson), Donna Karen, Elle McPherson and Charlize Theron.  Active in fashion shows, she has worked with many designers including Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Gucci and Armani.  Currently, she is the Education Director of Trio Salon in Chicago, IL.

Jo Blackwell-Preston: Owner of Dop Dop Salon in Soho, New York. Blackwell-Preston won an Emmy Award for her work on a public service announcement featuring Elmo and New York City firefighters. The commercial was part of a safety campaign for children call Get Low & Go campaign.  Blackwell-Preston did the hair for all the people who appeared in the commercial.  She was on the premiere episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and travels extensively as a color artist for L'Oreal Professional.

Luis Alvarez:  Aquage Co-Founder and VP of Creative & Education, Alvarez is the driving force behind Aquage's strong visual imagery and renowned Educational Team, TeamQuest.  His responsibilites at Aquage range from photographer, product development and team training, to fostering lasting, highly successful partnerships with top salons across the country.  He creates all the advertising and editorial campaigns for Aquage and also collaborates with fashion retailers to create their distinctive imagery.

Michael Albor:  Owner and Style Director of The Loft Salon and Day Spa, Albor's work has been featured in print and television ads as well as fashion shows.  He has worked with designers such as Isaac Mizrahi and Badgley Mischka.  His innovative and creative abilities have sent him far and wide to the pages of fashion magazines gaining him notoriety with a nomination for Best Editorial Stylist by the most prestigious hairstyling competition in North America, NAHA.  Currently, Albor is an educator for Aquage.

Michael Baker:  Creative Director of Neill Corporation, Baker produced the incredibly cool and fashionable "Hairdressers Unlocking Hope" calendar.  He has styled hair for Nike, AT&T, Allure, Johnny Depp, Jennifer Lopez and countless others.  He created the presentation "5x5 The StageTM", an interactive presentation for stylists and colorists that teaches best practices by example.

Oscar Bond:  Former industry educator for the esteemed Vidal Sassoon Academy in London and one of Eric Fisher's instructors, Bond was a member of the International Artistic and Show Team for Sassoon.  He recently sold his salon, Oscar Bond Salon in Soho, New York to open a cosmetology school.  Bond has been featured in such magazines as In Style, Modemoiselle, Jane, Marie Clare, Self, GQ, Details, YM, Soho Style, Time Out and Vogue.  

Robert Brown:  Owner of Hairobert Salon, Brown is an educator for Goldwell Color.  He is a full range stylist; he makes learning exciting, haircutting and styling techniques fun and easy, to add to any stylist's repertoire.


 

Sally Rogerson:  As Senior Creative Director at the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, Rogerson trains hundreds of professional stylists each year.  In addition to her full-time teaching responsiblities, she tours the world as a much requested platform artist sharing the latest and greatest in Sassoon Academy styles and techniques.

 

Stephen Moody:  As Executive Director, International Education of Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, Moody joined Sassoon in 1980.  Three years later, he was appointed the position of Principal of the London School of Hairdressing.  Having been successful in the British side of education, he was further promoted to Principal of the North American Academy in Los Angeles, CA.  Moody travels throughout the United States as well as representing Sassoon Academy in places as far as Europe, Canada, Mexica, South Africa, the Far East and Australia.
