Who is Eric Fisher?

Eric Fisher's career started over 20 years ago when he shocked his parents by telling them he wanted to be a cosmetologist. He wanted the best education possible so after graduating and obtaining his license in Kansas he hitched a ride from his dad, who was a pilot, to London to attend the Sassoon Academy. He opened his first salon with 8 chairs and 3 employees. Now owner of 3 Eric Fisher Salons and Eric Fisher Academy, he is renowned in the beauty industry and has won an unprecendented number of awards:

 

  • North American Hairstylist of the Year (NAHA) twice. Nominated nine times.

  • Two Awards for "Most Newsworthy Male Hair Designer" by both consumer and trade press editors, resulting in two prestigious Editors' Choice Awards presented during the New York International Beauty Show.

  • Global Business Award in London, an entrepreneurial award from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA in 2004 & 2006.  Fisher was only one of four Americans to receive such prestigious award.
  • Voted "Top 75 Educators of the Century" by Modern Salon Magazine.

 

Eric continues to be quoted in all of the major beauty publications including Vogue, Elle, Lucky, Self, Allure, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Redbook and many more.  He has always been passionate about education and has been an educator for over 20 years. Having traveled worldwide to teach at top salons, Eric says "Students motivate me. I love teaching and I love learning.
