Instructors

Learn from top Cosmetologists!  EFA's Cosmetology Instructors receive ongoing training from Sassoon Academy and other industry leaders to stay on the forefront of the beauty industry.  Dedicated to EFA's culture and passionate about hair Eric Fisher Academy's instructors will teach the skills needed for students to exceed.  Our instructors have helped shape our curriculum into a vehicle to drive students to be successful in the real world.

NAHA

North American Hairstyling Awards are the most prestigious in the beauty industry.  Eric Fisher has won twice and been nominated 9 times.  EFA is following in its founder's footsteps: Five niominations  and one win in the last two years! In 2009, Kelli Parks won at NAHA 20 in the Student Hairstylist category. 

EFA/EFS Jam

Every 6 to 8 weeks, EFA Cosmetology students participate in a haircutting jam session with Eric Fisher Salon's top stylists.

Renowned Guest Artists

Experience demonstrations from leading artists who have set the industry standards.  EFA guest artists have included Sally Rogerson, Alex Ioannou, Luis Alvarez, Oscar Bond, Michael Baker and Jo Blackwell Preston.

Eric Fisher

Eric has a vast and diverse group of friends throughout the world who do cover shoots for magazines, work on music videos, style on movie sets, create the hairstyles for top runway designers, charge $500 for a haircut, work in the best medical spas and enjoy authentic beauty-making people look and feel real. You'll learn a little about all of these disciplines, so you can choose the best career path for you. If have an end career goal in mind, once you graduate, Eric will hook you up with his contacts coast-to-coast.

Jam Packed Salon Floor

Master the latest styles and techniques with hands on training from our salon floor.  Our salon floor services over 300 guests a week.  Eric Fisher spends his Saturdays working with EFA's Future Professionals on the salon floor.

Eric Fisher Salon

The tools taught at EFA are the same tools implemented in Eric Fisher Salons.  The salon has won numerous awards, including "Salon of the Year" and one of the 200 "Fastest Growing Salons in America" award.  Eric Fisher Academy teaches you what works in the real world.

Involvement in the community is a great networking source.  EFA student's opportunities have included a photo shoot with Naked City Magazine, a Circle of Friends Beauty Bootcamp, Club Fuzion Breast Cancer Benefit Runway Show Makeup, Wichita Wild Dance Team Photo Shoot Makeup and Wichita Women's Fair Hair Lessons to name a few.

State Licensing

EFA's Cosmetology program is designed to focus on the skills your really need to succeed in a salon or spa and to prepare you for the State Board exam.  We teach the laws, safety, and sanitation requirements needed to pass the exam.  Upon completion of the state required hours, you will be required to pass a practical and written exam to obtain your license.  When you graduate from EFA, you will be prepared to work in a professional salon or spa.
